It is so hard to 疼 my parents sometimes...

They are so conscious of what they eat i'm finding it almost impossible to bring them out to makan or buy them stuff!!!

Point 1:- The yummy muffins from Chocolat N' Spice

Chocolat N' Spice
1 Tg Pagar Plaza #01-18 Singapore 082001Tel : 6223-5035Fax : 6226-2942

I went all the way down to queue for the muffins yesterday morning; count myself really lucky i had to wait only 15minutes for my turn. Ha! While i was waiting in line, i was tearing out my hair on which flavours to buy because i knew my parents would not want anything too sweet (choc muffins?) or sinful (DOUBLE choc anyone??)... would they prefer savoury muffins (cheese?)... *sigh* with all that recent hype over the goodness of cranberries, would mum prefer a cranberry muffin??? choices CHOICES!!! finally, finally settled on orange peel and raisins for mum, banana and walnut for daddy. choc muffins for the girls at home of course :)

the choc muffins were gone in a flash (no surprises there), but my parents, while they were happy i is 有心 to buy them yummy muffins to go with their kopi, HAD to go on and on about how they were putting on weight and how muffins made people fat and how they would go diabetic with all that sugar etc etc etc. -________________- i almost regretted getting them those muffins :p

Point 2:- Dinner at the Thai Zi Char place along Liang Seah St.

Don't know the actually name and addy of this place actually.... just that Jas brought us there one time and i've been back for dinner with the family.

Food there is really tasty! Sisters and i love the buttery calamari, the thick lemony sauce of their lemon chicken, the spicy chilli paste of the stir-fries... its all gooooooooood!

But daddy and mummy, although they polish off everything on the table as well, they just have to say LOTS during the meal... "this is too oily, that is too salty, this it blah, that is blah".... and afterwards? "waaaaaah! eat too much... overeat liao... next 2 days cannot eat rice.... all of us must go exercise afterwards ah..." blahblahblah :p

somehow, all these always make me very guilty afterwards cos i'll feel like its my fault we went out for dinner and ordered this and that. 很讨厌.

Point 3:- 記得吃's 汤圆

Ji De Chi 記得吃8 Liang Seah Street

have you guys tried the desserts offered here? heeeeee! i love their 汤圆 :) but whenever i bring up the idea of going there for dessert to my parents, they'll go on and on about how we shouldn't take too much 汤圆... that its too sweet... anything glutinous is not good for us... blah blah blah............

by the time they are done listing their 101 reasons we should all avoid desserts like 汤圆, i've lost my appetite and desire to bring them there to eat O_____O

Point 4:- Laksa, Char Kway Teow and See-Hum

Hurhur... we all know Laksa and See-Hum should go together... same goes for Char Kway Teow... right??

Yes yes i know its not the cleanest or healthiest stuff... but.......... its so GOOOOOOOOOD!!! Where got people eat Char Kway Teow dun wan the See-Hum de??? aiyOooooooo!

But my darling parents always insist on ordering Laksa and Char Kway Teow without the Hum. Damn sian.... if i ask them to da-bao these stuff home for me, can expect it to come without the yummy bits :p if i order and eat these while out with them, you can bet they will be repeatly nagging and insisting we pick out the Hum from the bowl/plate of noodles before eating (just in case we consume 'em by mistake)...... -____________-

I is like the See-Hum leh..... i wan to eat....................... :p

*sigh* 带他们出去真麻烦, 跟他们吃饭也真麻烦!!! arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!
