tHe Last daY of 2007

another 3 more hours and 2007 will be over.
just had dinner. alone. it was just me, a plate of leftover chicken, and my magazines.
earlier in the day, had gone into the City to meet Daniel, Wendy and the rest...
the plan had been to go grab a spot at the botanic gardens and wait till midnight to usher in 2008 together.
but turns out the place was so crowded the police had closed off all access to the area about an hour before we got there (at 4-ish)!! Wendy and her housemate were the only 2 people in our group that managed to get in earlier!
so...
Henry went off to meet his own friends in the City; Daniel, Jonathan and Jerry decided to head to North Sydney to try their luck there...
me? well... it's not like i've never seen fireworks before... so i decided to skip the whole thing and came back home.
being home suits me just fine though :)
the thought of all that people!!! and to wait hours and hours in the sun!
didn't really want to go into the City today anyways; was feeling really half-hearted about the whole idea to begin with. so i guess in a way God's plan WAS for me to spend a quiet last day of 2007 at home, reflecting on the year that has past - the good, the bad, the happy, and the sad... and a way for me to prepare myself for the New Year - mentally, spiritually, physically (???)... :)

*** oh oh!! guess what??? i can actually see the fireworks going off now!! the ones in the direction of the Olympic Park!!! COOLNESS!!! and i can hear it toooooo!!! so i guess i AM not missing much by staying home, am i??
oh wow!!! a full 10 minutes of fireworks display. and i caught it straight from the comfort of my room :)
