to SL and back.

so.

i survived a second trip to SL =)

am back after having been away the past 6 days.

it wasn't all that bad really.

the peeps are really nice - the whole Dias family, the reps from the other Msia and SG institutions, the exhibition organisers, the hotel peeps, the sales peeps and the taxi drivers and svc peeps... really everyone is soooooo friendly and sincere in helping make my stay there truly enjoyable.

the food... wasn't too bad. heehee! no really, it was ok. it just wasn't entirely to my taste =P curries and spices and all are fine with me, and i do love to try new stuff when we travel, but after three days of the same stuff? no thank you! i miss my Wanton Noodles, Mee Hoon Kuehs, our very many Korean and Japanese food available here, Beef Noodles (Hk/ Twn/ Viet style) and all that other food we take for granted when living in SG =P at one point i craved a gd 'ol Subway sandwich so so SO MUCH i thought i was gonna cry (drama-mama). haha!

so ya! see? wasn't toooooo bad.

but but BUT!

damn i've been very badly bitten by mozzies and sandflies. oh my poor arms! and my legs! *cries big fat tears

they itch sOOOOOOOoooooo much. i've applied heaps of cream and stuff. i'm so afraid it's gonna leave scars *cries more big fat tears

you know how i'm really fair and i love love love that i'm fair and not yucky tan like alot of other girls? (i really do not like being tan AT ALL). so these bites show really obviously on me =( damn upset.

oh shoot. now i'm all upset and have forgotten what i was talking about earlier on.

oh ya! SL.

so anyways.

it wasn't a bad trip or anything. i just missed home an awful lot this time round. so weird i know! i wasn't even away for a full week! wasn't even the longest i've been away from home for work. but i missed everything about home and being home so blarday much =(

okok. enough 'complaining'. cannot be so ungrateful. work takes me to some beautiful places and gives me the opportunity to see lots of different things and meet so wonderful people =)

oh oh oh! and see? i get to drink very many nice beeeeeeeeeer! heehee!

am not sure if i'm going back to SL anytime soon. lots of stuff happening with work re the SL mkt. trying not to let work get personal =( it's hard when people are so nice you know?! *sigh
