falling aslp 5 min into the ride from home to town. he was VERY well-rested 20min later when we reached Red Star for Yum Cha :p

so well-rested he was charming the aunties pushing the food trolleys by calling out "hello auntie!" -- totally made their day i think! my darling louis :)

and he ate lots of century egg porridge while the rest of us totally pigged-out on the yummy dumplings and other Yum Cha favs.

and he entertained us all with his steady stream of cheeky expressions -- verbal AND facial. heehee!

lOng bUs RideS

the bus ride home takes a good 50-odd mins... on a good day.
some days it can take up to 90 mins cos we'll be stuck in the freaking traffic along bt. timah rd! wtf right? =P
but when im not rushing for time, or on days when i just don't feel like walking that path from the office to the mrt station, i'll hop on the bus, pray i get a seat, and when i do get one (yay!!), will just spend the rest of the ride home, plugged into my music, people-watching.
today was one of those im-too-lazy-to-walk-so-i'll-take-the-bus days =PPP
really lucky to get a seat right at the back of the bus.
lent my shoulder to a lil st. marg's girl today. heehee! poor girl fell asleep in the seat next to mine barely 2 mins after she sat down.
noticed that around me were 3 other sec. sch kids... ALL SLEEPING THROUGHOUT THE BUS RIDE HOME. ah! these poor things!! imagine the horribly long ride they have to endure going to and from sch everyday for 4 freaking years! and with sch hours so blardy long these days, no wonder these kids are all tired out. wtf it's stressful being a kid these days i think =P don't think my sec. sch days were that tough. haha! i only went home late in the evenings cos i was too busy dating after sch ended. heeee!!!

so neways, Jas, Jayne and myself were SUPPOSED to get to hot yoga class this morning but someone who shall remain nameless, well... let's just say our yoga session has been rescheduled =P

we had a lovely Sunday Brunch @ Spruce =)

located up at Phoenix Park, Tanglin Rd, the lush greenery and quaint surrounds provided the prefect place for a cosy get-together with the girls! nice!!

brunch was a lovely affair... the girls went for the savouries while my sweet tooth led me to order yummy banana hotcakes with blueberry syrup. yums! but the portions, to me, were huge!! the three of us should have ordered two sets to share eh girls?

popped by the shops for a bit...

think we were all not 100% in the mood for large purchases.

went in and out of a couple of shoe shops... checked out some sunnies... then a spot of book-shopping later, we sat down to some sinfully delightful cakes @ Cedele. wtf i feel damn fat now.

Jas and i rounded off the afternoon giving our feet some TLC. heehee! went to check out the Sabai Jai Thai Massage @ Milly's. 60mins of bliss! WE LIKE!! we're thinking of going back to check out their other massage packages. but omg i tot my back was gonna break when they gave us a taste of their shoulder massage!!! wtf! im serious. im pretty sure i heard my bones crack like freaking loud lorrr!

finally told the girls the whole "why we broke up" story.

omg those two are hilarious lah!!! think they were more worked up than i ever was over what the ex did towards the end of our doomed r/s. but talking abt what happened, i did feel that bit of sadness that things ended the way it did :( wish we had been more matured when we ended it all. argh!!! men! no... BOYS! wtf!!

maybe cos it's only the second time since we started going out, that he has gone away for work.
im still so not very used to this being apart thingy... which is weird though... cos the last r/s was all about being apart. for three freaking years!!! *roll eyes
but neways, 'nuff about the last one. im MOVING ON!!!
so... yea... second time he has gone off to work... his going away to work means no calls and no texts since he's out there on intl waters and stuff... no reception wtf! if the email doesn't work??? that's it wtf!!
think the first time he left for work, it didn't really register in my head cos we both left from the same airport on the same day, almost at the same time... that time it felt more like we were leaving on holiday or sth =P although, 2 days later it no longer felt that way, that's for sure! omg that trip took him away for a good 20sth days!! this time also lidat how??? can only pray the upcoming SYD trip takes my mind off this emptiness that is him being away :(((
argh! wtfwtfwtfwtf! im just rambling on here... duno what im thinking... what im typing...... not in the mood for anything...... wtf i wana go home and crawl into bed in comfy oversized pjs and hug the teddy and think of him till i fall asleep or sth...........

nice place to chill =)
esp. on a cool and breezy night.
oh and bcos it was a weeknight, we practically had the whole place to ourselves!
it was a great way to beat the mid-week blues... yummy Parmesan Wings!! and ice cold beers ^^ and plenty of goss' and laughter!

i feel lousy today.

update: (some 20-odd hours later...)
well... i made dinner today.
again.
baked citrus chicken, greens with herbs, sauteed mushrooms and fresh bread...
i made dinner the past three days.
plus cakes.
does all these count as some kind of accomplishment??

i wish i could say something like "i shaved my hair off in the name of charity!!" -- you go Lynn!!! my hero sia!!!
or, "i donated blood!" -- i really do wanna do this someday... i just duno when yet.
or, "i went backpacking in Vietnam" -- the sis and her man did this in Mar. not that im much of a backpacking kind of girl... but still! at least she was OUT THERE doing new stuff wor..!

LOA Day #2

just recd notice that the whole LOA thingy is being lifted. from nxt mon onwards. so i can go back in on mon! thank God. time seemed to cccccccccrawl by this morning. and it's no fun to get emails frm certain peeps who seem to think it's FUN to work from home... wtf! u think my choice huh? wtfwtfwtf! u try having heaps to do yet not having access to the much needed files & figures & whatnots. wtf!
i think im in very bad mood tdy la... dun mind me. just let me rant.
on 2nd tots, i dun even wanna rant. i just wanna stone. sheessssh!

LOA day #1

LOA = Leave of Absence
pfft!!
bcos we flew in via HK yesterday, Heleston and i are now on LOA from the workplace... for 7 days!
has it's pros and cons i guess...
it's awfully inconvenient cos i retrieve emails and stuff alright, but i can't access AIMS or the Public Folders for figures and stuff! have resort to MSN to ask the peeps to look up information, for me, from the office. troublesome sia...
also, i miss Nee =( i miss being able to come across something in the mailbox, and just turning round to her and go "waaaaaaaah! so-and-so har.... this-and-that worrrrr..." , and then have her do the same with me too. NEE, I MISS YOU!!!!!!
the good thing about staying home though, is that i managed to do some laundry!!! quite abit of my dresses and tops that had to be handwashed... at least that's done now =)
managed to work on that Malaysian report i have to do for the boss. yicks!!! had no idea i left it alone for sOOOOooo long!! hopefully i can wrap that one up within the next few days......
oh but the best thing i think, about working from home, is that all that time in between research/reports/emails, i get to cook!! i'm making dinner tonight =))) spaghetti (on ting's request) and salad. plus, i now have an almond cherry cake baking in the oven! oh yums!! it's rising up to be really pretty right now. hmmm......
guess i'll just have to think of how to fully utilise the next few days at home. planning to bake something everyday. yay!! on that note, think i had better go check see if i have the right ingredients for blueberry and cream cheese muffins tomorrow.

***update: the cake is so gOOOOOoooood with a cup of tea in the arvo! heehee! i feel so engrrrrish ah. drinking tea with a slice of cake 2 hours before dinnertime =P
it's so good the parents and sisters have polished off half the cake! i is happy =)))

What a trip!
Ugh!!
A short 6 days... but i reckon that's really about all i can take of that place!
Wuhan - supposedly the third largest City in China... came about with the 'joining together' of 3 different Cities, Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang... said to be the biggest financial, educational, transport and economic City in Central China.
Well... after the past 6 days, all i can say is:
-- 3 hours traffic jams
-- 40 degrees, disgustingly hot weathers
-- headaches
-- pollution
-- chaos, chaos, more chaos!!!
I IS DON'T LIKE IT!!!
The trip was only fun cos of my 'travel partner' !!
Heleston was so cool and lots of fun! First trip with him... and i was so worried he'll be really quiet and all... but NO!!! He is FUN! Put me right at ease from day 1 when we set off from SG. Found myself sharing with him easily. Work, studies, our lives in AU, marriage, shopping... haha! Oh, and he's like, so good tempered and calm... contrast from the gan-jiong spider that is ME. Haha! He is one 'fab shopping kaki!!! I LIKEYYY =))) He shopped more than i did!!! I only got myself 3 pieces of pants and dress... oh and some magazines and makeup...
I love traveling with the lecturers... well, at least those i've had the chance to travel with so far have all been great!
They are always interesting to talk with and i've gotten to learn so much from them! Not just about Arts of cos... but about life in general.

Going to (and from) Wuhan, we had to transit in HK.
Both times, we only had a couple of hours to kill in HKIA... BUT I LOVE EVEN THE TOT OF JUST BEING ON HK SOIL!!! Heehee! Brought back boxes of Wing Wah Lao Po Bing. Yums!
And i got my darling Louis a set of Cars from the Disney Animation Movie - CARS, at the Disneyland Shop. The boy is going to LOVE them! He's so enthu' about CARS now =P
Fingers crossed plans go accordingly and i can make that trip to HK for Yanis and Wil's wedding later this year! *pray pray pray
