dating my hubs.

the Saturday he was home, we went dating.

we had no real agenda.

we just...... 

took the bus from one end of the Island to the other, talking with each other the whole 50-odd minutes of the bus ride.

we walked through the malls hand-in-hand.

we had takeaway of bubbletea & maccas, walked up one of our fav' pak-tor places at the Esplanade, found ourselves a spot on the Roof Terrace, and ate, drank, chatted, kissed......

and caught the fireworks (from the NDP rehearsals).

eating+drinking my week-long break away.

He had a 10-day break in-between worktrips recently, and i made a very last minute decision to take a few days off and fly up to KL to keep him company.

It was all decided on within half a day i think... check flight times, check price, buy tickets, get ready to FLY :)

With nothing definite planned for the looooong weekend (apart from an afternoon at the Bridal Studio), we spent long hours wandering in the malls of Mid-Valley and 1Utama, browsed for hours at MPH, chatted our way through the horrid traffic congestions we were stuck in each time we headed out, walked off heavy meals shared at the hypermarkets, and ate LOTS.

Brilliant!!

Yong Tau Foo @ Puchong.

One of the BEST i've ever had (outside of home. our homemade Hakka Yong Tau Foo is still TOPS!) and my must-have each time we are in Puchong.

Here, he's getting hot and tired of waiting =P This place gets really crowded during meal times!!!

Wedding-Related: Food Tasting @ Carlton Hotel

Not sure who Richie & Carol are (cos we didn't see anyone else who looked like they were there for food tasting purpose on our side of the Restaurant) but CONGRATS ^^ You both must be getting married tOOooo!

So.

Dinner was 'fab last night.

We were sat there in Wah Lok just after 7pm.

The parents, the sisters, the kids. And myself obviously.

It was to be an 8-course Chinese (Canto-style of cos, for Wah Lok is well-known to be one of the best Cantonese Restaurants in SG) dinner for 6 adults.

But the portions served... WOAH!

Let's just say we tabao-ed enough for today's lunch :p

 Each dish came out beautiful.

The food was all very rich in flavours, yet not overly seasoned i.e. nothing swimming in oil, laced with soy sauce, the chef didn't get too excited with the salt/pepper shakers...... hee!

The one teeny thing which would have made dinner yesterday absolutely wonderful, for me, was if he had been there too. But he HAD to be called away for work yesterday morning, OF ALL THE BLARDY DAYS. Sigh.

Still......

i popped by the Bridal Studio the other day.

the girls there are so very nice.

knew hubs wasn't round and i was only trying the gowns to see what was available and wouldn't be making any decisions then.

yet they went round the Studio picking out gown after gown and helping me in and out of them.
and they waited while i took photos :p
here are some pretty gowns that made my heart go pom-pom pom-pom

Sophia and Fiona picked out many reds and maroons for me.
shan't put up all 7 (or was it 8) reds here.

tried a pale yellow gorgeous one. nice! but i look too pale here i think.

one of the few halter/ tie-backs. this one in a strong turquoise-ish shade.

oh oh oh! this one veli nice!!! but empire-cut. i ish fats de lor :(
but still, it's nice! love the flowing fabric. and gorgeous colours [i didn't do the gown justice with this shot].
i told Fiona i felt like going for another PS just to wear this. ha!


*the ridiculously long uploading time is driving me crazy! i have piccies of another... 10 gowns! don't have all night for this. sorry. off to bed.




***have not decided on anything yet. will head back to the Studio with hubs when he comes back in another 10 days or so (fingers crossed).

our decision to go with Lasposa Bridal Gallery was a good one.

from the peeps, the gowns, the service, the actual PS......

everyone and everything has been good.

**but if you have another few thousand to spare and wants to sayang me, ok loh! we do this all over again with another five gowns 'kay? heehee. this time we pick gowns in other colours lah!
