Wedding-Related: Gowns.Gowns.Gowns :)

Finally found time remembered to transfer the photos taken the other day when trying out gowns at Lasposa, from my camera to the computer.

Piccies taken by the Boy while i was dressed/undressed/dressed (and this went on for a good hour :p must make use of chance to try many gorgeous gowns i would otherwise never get to wear!!) by Sophia and Fiona (more on the Bridal Studio and their stuff and staff another day).

Oh crap! Some images are not coming up. WHY??????!!!

Ok, there's more actually... a huge navy blue gown... a couple of halter-neck dresses in baby blue and erm... a copperish blue? (not good. i think i don't have the boobs to fill up a halter :p seriously)......

The above looks a load of reds and oranges and purples huh? Hee! I had to pick two out of the lot (was it seven or eight Evening Gowns?). Tough! And that was just the EGs. Hun was brilliant patient that afternoon... just chilling... waiting around... helping take pictures (not fantastic, mind you, cos mine really is quite a lousy camera. ha!)... 


Will find time to post shots of some of those gorgeous White Bridal Gowns another day.

Claire goes to school :)

i took a few days off work just so i could spend some time with the little princess.

i had to miss her first week in Primary One as i was still in KL when school started earlier this month.

didn't want to miss too much of what's going on with her new routine since she has entered Primary School.

so, even though i know i'll be going back to the office tomorrow, to shitloads of work, i took three days off work to spend my mornings with her, having brekkie, going through her homework, reading, making her lunch, then bringing her to School at noon.

i do my own thing in the arvo, then i'm home in the evenings when she gets home :)

and we get to eat together.

and play the piano and sing together.

she asked if i'll be home again tomorrow.

i couldn't lie.

i had to say no.

the look on her face was one of pure disappointment.

i'll miss such precious times with the little girl as she grows up.

i got the Boy to confirm ours for the Nov 20 events, a couple of weeks ago.

cannot blame me for being gan-jiong!!
we have so little time together in one place.
so since i had to work in KL for a while earlier this month, and the Boy was still in KL as well, i nagged & begged & deyy-ed till he got round to arranging meetups with people there.
just as we did when shortlisting photographers to take care of the Nov 12 events, i flipped and re-flipped through mags, read and re-read forum reviews, was practically glued to the computer waiting for online albums and videos to load......
we finally settled on Mc Chia - photographer, videographer, designer.
he's young, very friendly, comes highly recommended by the Boy's cousin (whose wedding Mc covered late last year), we both felt his works were creative stuff, and we had good vibes meeting with him.
the Boy and i have more or less decided that since the day's events are relatively shorter (or so we hope!!) for Nov 20, we'll make do with just a photographer. but the good thing with Mc, is that he can double up as videographer too! yay!! so we're pretty much gonna leave him to do his thing, as long as we get good final products after =P cannot limit/ restrict an artist creativity, correct?
if i don't find a videographer i like enough for the Wedding Day in SG soon, i just might get Mc to come down here to cover that Day's events.

Pre CNY 2011 - #1

CNY is two weeks away.
Every other person i know is out looking for new stuff - dresses, shoes, bags, etcetcetc.
The malls are packed.
Ridiculous crowds!!
I had the pleasure (ha!) of being stuck in the mall with YF the other evening when she wanted to go pick out some new dresses for CNY.
Thank God she didn't take long.
Three outfits in one evening.
We went into... oh not many... maybe five, six shops?
Smart girl knows to LISTEN to me when i tell her to go TRY on the dresses and not just look-see from the hangers =P most times things look different on the racks and on a person!!
Anyways...
I've decided i don't actually need new dresses this CNY.
Most are too red, or purple... or just too cheena for my liking anyways =PPP
So instead, i've bought myself heaps of new lingerie! Wahahahaahahah!!!
Heapsssss! Many, many sets of matchy-matchy undergarments :)))
The salesgirl was VERY HAPPY when i went to sign for everything with my VISA.
I bet she was thinking about the commission she was earning from my purchases alone. Ha!
Now baybeh, you want pretty, i give you PRETTY ^^ You want sexy, i give you SEXY!
WAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Day #7 - 2011

We're into the second week of 2011 already! Happy 2011 :) 

I've not written anything here since... mid Dec last year! 

Very briefly, the last two weeks at work in 2010 was spent rushing madly through many, MANY mails and issues. So much to do, SO LITTLE TIME!!

Outside of work, there were the Christmas shopping that had to be done, the parties to plan for/ go to, the dinner dates, drink sessions, mani+pedi......

Then Christmas came and went by all too quickly.

Day after Christmas, i fly over to M'sia to spend the rest of 2010 with hun. HAPPINESS!

Now, i am sat here, alone in my hotel room in KL, thinking back on my 2010 and giving thanks.

I have much to give thanks for.
God has been good to me.
Again, I've been very blessed this past year.
*counts my blessings.

ON FRIENDS:~

YF, WL, Lisa, Jaime, eLin, Jayne, Keena and Nee continue to be some of my bestest and most trusted peeps. These are my go-to darlings. These are my dearest girls who have stood by me through the good and bad times. For everything each one of them have done for me, each in their own way, i am truly thankful.

I also managed to reconnect with some beautiful people - Liang, Ting and Lindy Koh, Jayvin, Lynn and Min... oh Dawn too!

New friends who have played an important part in my life in 2010? Weilin and Lindy Lim :)

ON FAMILY:~

Each one of us have had issues to deal with the past year. While sadly, not everything has been resolved, we've come to accept that some things are just not meant to be. There are things that are just not within our control. 

As a family, we've grown even tighter and stronger together. The parents continue to give us nothing but love and support... my sisters? All i can say is that the older we get, the stronger our sisterly love and bonds. Claire and Louis. My love for them can only grow as they grow that teeny bit older each day. Claire starts P1 in 2011. Louis enters K1 :)

ON LOVE:~

He asked. 

I agreed. 

We ROM-ed. 

All within the second half of 2010 :)

Work and travel continues to keep us apart. Physically. However, my love for him only continues to deepen each day. I find myself wanting to share everyday with him. Every minute i think of him and in everything i do, i think for him. 

I continue to be madly in love and deliriously happy with my Super Man, and can only give thanks to God everyday for him. For he brings into my life, SO MUCH COLOR! The joys, the happiness, the laughter, yes and the tears too!

I love him so much. So much.

Nothing excites me more than the planning and preps for our Wedding this Nov. 

Getting a place of our own is next on our list of to-dos, together.

ON WORK:~

So many 'firsts' !!!

First trip to Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad - India. ALONE! TWICE ACTUALLY!

First trip to Seoul - S. Korea. TWICE! Absolutely LOVE Seoul.

First trip to HCMC - Vietnam.

First trip with the new VP.

First trip with the VSF Dean.

Add to these my usual rounds to the various cities across Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Sri Lanka... and with different academics too!

2010 was just busy, busy, BUSY! 

The team went through (and am still going through) quite a bit of change. I've been lucky enough to get some good opportunities to grow at work.

2011 looks set to be an even bigger year at the office. Bring it on!!

Other highlights of my 2010:~

That first trip to Phuket with YF and WL. Truly memorable! Parasailing, snorkeling, lots of sun, sand, sea... coconuts and ice-cream! Am planning for our 2011 getaway together already.

Four beach hols' in one year! Cherating, Phuket, Bintan, Bali!

The (near) entire family trip to Genting for Popo's birthday :) Much too short, really. But excellent nonetheless. It provided for the opportunity to catch up with almost everyone on mum's side of the family.

Am pretty sure ALOT more actually happened in 2010. But i'm way too tired to remember it all now.

Whatever.

All i can say is THANK YOU GOD!
