Wedding-Related: Shoe-shopping Part 2.

There i was, walking down Citylink Mall this morning towards M.Sq, when i came across Lavena.
The signs in the shop say Korean shoes.
Don't know if it's all Korean, but there were some really pretty flats in there!!!
And there were a couple of gorgeous heels too!
They were mostly in black and/or brown though... and atm i'm really looking at something more white/cream/champagne-ish.
Didn't stop me from trying on every other pair there just now though.
Hurhurhur.
Searching online led me here.
Their collection featured on their website is rather plain though... not at all like what i saw at the shop.
Oh well.
Pop down to the shop to look-see will you, girls?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was at Sole 2 Sole the other day.
Their collections are mei de lor
Very pretty!
Just check out the ones with Swarovski crystals!
Their prices also pretty T_T
Le sigh.
Shoe-shopping continues.
from the diaries of a young couple house-hunting ~~ part 2
*sigh
this is temporarily on hold.
house-hunting i mean.
might have to look at more options other than a resale hdb unit.
- private?
- rental?
- kick poor Yuan out of our shared bedroom, so he can move in there while the sis moves into our studyroom? (she'll kill us!!! ha!)
trying to get our own place is harder than we thought.
seriously.
:(
why do they make it so blardy hard for us to get a house anyways?
wtf.
all that crap about promoting marriage and starting a family blah blah...?
sheesh!!
want us to do that? well, maybe start by making is easier for us to get a place we can actually call our own first!
all those Conditions one has to tick-off before being deemed eligible to purchase a unit...
*sighs so loudly the parents can hear me over the telly in the living room =_=
wWWWWWwwwwhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyy?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
am now very envious of the gfs who are getting the keys to their own places soon.
you all very lucky you know?!
*turns green with envy
la la la......
i think i am very brave to do domestic legs here alone.
=PPP
ok, that was random.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
so.
while all you lucky people get your short workweek/ long weekend back home, i'm stuck here. working still.
i hate you all lah :(
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
nairmind.
right now, i'm wrapped up in the super comfy bathrobe of Westin Mindspace.
i'm tucked under the sheets of this huge-ass bed and lying amongst very, many white fluffy pillows, lappie on my lap (duh.) and typing away.
telly's tuned to TLC.
my fav channel.
seriously.
earlier today, i spent a good hour soaking in the hot tub.
*sigh.
was very the shiok.
and then...
errmm......
hmm........
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ok i'm obviously trying to make myself feel better for having to be stuck here.
so not working.
:(((
shall pick out some comfort food from the room service menu for dinner.

Pho! Glorious Pho!

--- realized i never posted this while in HCMCity. well, better late than never. ---

Pho, Pho and more Pho.
That’s pretty much all I know about Vietnam.
Really.
It’s all about food again huh? Gawd I feel like such a pig =P
So, anyways, here I am, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Day #2.
Why am I here?
Work of course! Did you think I’ll get the luxury of time and money for a holiday? Pooh!!
Okokokok, to be very fair, I did get some time yesterday arvo to do a quick look around the Central Market, or Ben Thanh Market I think it’s called.
Didn’t buy anything there.
It’s a MARKET! We get ‘em in every Asian city!
But it IS my virgin trip to HCMC so I reckon, ah i might as well go look-see. Do the touristy thing =)
BBB’s first visit here as well. She did the shopping, not me. Hehehe!
Lots of bargaining involved here. Just like any other market.
We talked down the price of some fashionable accessories from 200,000vnd to 100,000vnd per piece.
You can try to bring down the prices of pretty much everything I think. We overheard some guys trying to get plates of fried noodles at 20,000vnd. It was going for 30,000vnd per plate (said so on the menu). Tsktsktsk. The (weird) things people do.
So apart from those few precious hours of shopping at the Market, we ate.
Noodles for lunch, noodles for dinner, noodles for brekkie today.
I skipped lunch earlier today. Am not hungry. At all =(
In fact, for a good part of today, I slept.
Time of the month…
New place, new bed, sleepless night……
Horrible, HORRIBLE migraine……
I went to work in the morning and came straight back around 1-ish. To sleep.
I’m still not entirely well now… but I guess I could do with some food.
Wonder where BBB and Ah-gor wants to go. More Pho? Hurhurhur.
Oh, oh, we managed to squeeze in a quick foot massage yesterday evening. Nice! 60minutes of pure pleasure for my aching feet + hand and head and shoulder massage thrown in. All for usd10. Very nice =)))
Hmmm… maybe I can skip dinner and just go for another massage??
The Internet sucks here. Ugh!
The connection is so impossibly slow it took me a whole night (I am NOT kidding. I left the lappie on till morning) to retrieve three, THREE miserable mails. THREEEEEEEE!!! How to get work done like this?!?!
I am just ranting and ranting on and ON here huh?
=(
I’m just bored.
If not for this horrid migraine, I’ll be out walking around. It IS after all the first time I’m here. Can’t even say if I’ll be coming back again anytime soon. Not my market. Vietnam I mean. I’m just lucky I got roped-in for this exhibition happening this weekend in HCMC.
On a separate note, this place doesn’t really feel very touristy! I mean… it doesn’t feel very tourist-friendly. I didn’t see ONE SINGLE GOOD MAP OF THE CITY!
Didn’t see any at the airport.
Don’t see any here in the hotel room.
Well, there is ONE here… but it’s the crappiest map ever! All it shows is the location of the hotel and a whole load of roads =P
Suddenly, the city maps made available in all the China hotels I’ve ever stayed in seem so, so, SO comprehensive. So very useful! Ha.
I seriously do not know why I’m even writing this.
I sound so… dull! So… argh, bored!
Abrupt end.
