so i know the Red Packets normally get prep.ed a couple of days before one's actual wedding day.
but cos i've been helping Yuan with her wedding prep, i can't help but (mentally) write up our own list of Red Packets to prepare for now.
can i just say, i had no idea so many Red Packets needed preparing for :p

went to the bank this morning.
withdrew a whole lot of money in tens, fiftys and hundreds.
for the parents and myself.
was sat there in ma's room stuffing Red Packets in the afternoon.
so many people to consider when giving 'em!
and we gotta consider the amount of time (and effort) that particular person put into helping with the wedding preps when trying to determine how much to give.
waraoooooo.
can just stuff $20 into each envelope or not?

oh, and you know something else you gotta think about?

i was tasked to go pick up some suitable envelopes for the parents yesterday.

i was kind of hoping to find some like these:

but after going round Bugis and Chinatown, i gave up and stuck with the simple Shuangxi (double happiness) ones.

think i might have to start looking at Red Packets the next time i'm in China for work.

Flight missed!!

You know what they say about having 'A first time for everything'

So apparently, due to some brilliant planning by some good people, my flight out of SG for this weekend's work thing went horribly wrong.

- Bookings made.

- Subsequently cancelled.

- Rebooked.

- Tickets issued.

- Dates changed.

- Rechanged.

- Changed yet again.

- Flight missed.

- Rebooked again.

- Waitlisted.

......

Was up at 3:30am on a Public Holiday/ Long Weekend just so i could be "on standby" at the airport!

After all that mad scheduling and rescheduling?

Still no freaking flight available!!!

*pulls at hair in frustration.

Crazy string of International Calls made later, the work shite has been rescheduled (yet again) and i'll be off this evening.

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This must be my worst work trip ever! 

And i haven't even left the Country!

Wedding-Related: Time Management

planning for the wedding has really taken a backseat to work the last two months.

horrors!!!

how can, right?

the only consolation is that we started earlier (last July) and that kind of gives us more time. ok, fine. not we. i. me. gan-jiong spider me who wanted to get started as soon as we could and so was all enthu' about getting those dates down... the venue... the vendors...
then came the huuuuuuge amount of work and travel commitments that started right before CNY [the work thing to Sri Lanka] and is only just starting to show signs of 'slowing down' this last week.
sigh of relieve *phew!
made it through Q1. still alive!!
have only got about three trips left for Q2. mad lots of admin shite to clear in the office. once that's out of the way, it's back to crazy work travels again from July *gulp.
so since i've got a teeny window between now and end-June, it's back to wedding prep :)))
we're going for the Catholic Engaged Encounter weekend thingy early next month.
am slightly nervous about that but at the same time, i can't wait!!
once we clear that bit with the Church and Father Gerard, then it's full steam ahead with plans for the Church Ceremony!
there's not a whole lot to do at the moment with the Dinner in SG.
i just have to make up my mind about the music and band...
hmmm...
the Tea Ceremony and Luncheon in KL... 
the way they do things there seem kind of different when compared to us in SG. i've got the e-invites ready but everything else, the vendors just kind of say, "oh, can decide later."
later? later WHEN??!!!

oh, oh! time to board. flight back home. yay!

Post Seoul day #2

i should really start thinking of better titles for my entries -_-

so.

as if i hadn't spent enough time with the sisters while in Seoul the last week, Yuan and i spent the day together, just us 2.

woke up late, the 2 of us, and were just lying in bed chatting for a looooong time before finally rolling out of bed :)

drove out to Joo Chiat for lunch and to pick out her Wedding Gown. yes! she's getting her WG before me. more on that in another entry.

spent the rest of the afternoon shopping and having tea back in the West.

went home and both got down to packing our wardrobe together, side by side.

talked the baby sister into doing a session at the gym after dinner.

finally wrapped up the day with IceKachang.PuppyLove. on her lappie, while lying in our beds, in our darken bedroom.

"just like at the movies!" she said.

*sigh

precious times i will miss when i move out and when she moves to UK.

earlier this year, i kinda decided i would give up alcohol this Lent Season leading up to Good Friday.
and i was sOOooooo good! until last night :p
it being the dear munkii's birthday and all... i had a couple of mojitos... and then beer! 
shame shame shameeeeeeeeeeeee!

it was a fun night though.

zy was full of his usual "yellow" crap.
i had fun catching up with both Jaime and Lisa.
and it was great that Yuan was with us.

my mood kinda changed as we wrapped up the night and were heading home though.
i couldn't help thinking that in a couple of months' time, Yuan's not going to be around to do this with me for a while... this whole hang-out-with-the-girls-have-lotsa-beer-and-wings-then-cab-it-home-together-crash-together thing :(
