To cook, with love 10 :)
we all know veggies are good for us :)
i personally love my veggies.
most of them anyway.
the ones i don't really like (celery, carrot and pumpkin)... well, i try to find different ways to eat them (celery and carrot in stews - this i eat. no can taste raw-ness of celery and carrots. deep-fried pumpkin. erm. not very healthy but i is likes it.)
anywaysssss.
the koreans eat loads of veggies!
i like!
i know when we go for korean bbqs it's meat meat meat and more meat, but think about all those side dishes always offered on the side! veggies galore!!!
i made these the other day when we were in the mood for korean at home.
bean sprout side dish [Sukjunamul]
potato side dish
[Gamjachae bokkeum]
[Gamjachae bokkeum]
i added quite a bit more red chilli than required as i love fresh cut red chilli these days.
and colours in a bowl/ plate are so important to a dish, agree?
like an artwork. of sorts.

i ♥ paperbacks
There's something about holding onto a physical book...
to be able to turn the pages...
to smell the printed pages...
I am not an ebook person.
Period.
I love going into and spending hours in a bookshop, checking out the New Releases/ Popular Reads etc etc.
The covers of the books...
their font and print...
it all plays a part in luring me into picking it up and reading.
Here's the latest book i'm reading.
Courtesy of dear 'Ling who has never failed to gift me with a lovely read on many occasions.

Hubs saw this photo of me from 2008 and went, "哇!那么胖啊?"
-_______________________-
Really meh?
Boy, you've not seen me at my chubbiest =P
***On a separate note, this was taken in Aug '08 on my first looooooong worktrip to Sweden. Snapped self before heading out into the lovely streets of Malmo the morning i arrived in the City, minus my luggage (which was still at Stockholm Intl Airport. wtf.). The first (and thankfully, the last during that 4yr+ of constant jetting around for work) time i arrived at my destination w/o my bags =P
To cook, with heart 8 :)
Hubs was home from one of his work trips the other weekend when i decided to cook, and cook, and cook more good stuff for him to eat :)
There was tong shui - snow fungus soup with red dates, longan and gingko.
We had, amongst other things, a naibai stirfry for dinner.
I made this with a shredded dried scallops gravy instead of normal oyster/ soy sauce, and threw in a huge spoonful of wolfberries for added health benefits (and sweetness).
Made a cooling Snow Pear + Apple with Pork Ribs Soup.
Sweet, homemade goodness!!
Hubs makes slaving in the kitchen worth it every time when he goes for second/ third helpings :)

Colours!
I've not dressed in such colours to work in a llllllllllooooooonnnngggg time.
It's mostly blacks these days.
Going through a phase lah.
For a change, i wore this long navy blue dress and paired it with a bright yellow sweater the other day.
Matched them with a blink-blink pair of sandals.
=)
It was a (good) Friday.
Heehee!

Daydreaming...
Not my first choice of colour for the curtains... but what good use of space in a tiny bedroom!
I LIKE!
This could possibly be how our bedroom would look like?

Let me be inspired indeed!!!
So.
I know we're not going to be able to afford a place with a balcony (let alone TWO!!!) any time soon... but still, just for reference:-
How absolutely lovely, right??!!!
I particularly love this "reading corner".

Sigh. When oh when will we get a place to call our own?
